1. Code (By
standard GB5042-81)
It is composed of letters and numbers. this
specification can be divided to 3 parts.
GE G100 ES-2RS
GE: symbol the type
of bearings by letters
G100: symbol the bearing size
by letters and diameter size by number
ES-2RS: symbol the structure
characteristic, clearance and material
by letter and number.
(1). Code and type of plain bearing
there are 2 major type of plain bearing
and following is the type code(type code
is the front part of bearing code):
<1 GE Stand for radial plain bearing
<2 rod end bearing
2.1 SI stand for self-lubricating rod
end bearing with inner thread
2.2 SI stand for self-lubricating rod
end bearing with male thread
2.3 SIB stand for rod end bearing with
inner thread
2.4 SA...ES stand for rod end bearing
with male thread(adding a "L"
to the left of this code means left direction
thread)
(2). Size of the bearings
in the middle part of bearing code, using
"E" symbols a normal series()
"G" symbols middle series, "W"
symbols radial plain bearing with wide
inner ring, "JK" symbols rod
end bearing JK series.
(3). structure characteristic, type of
clearance and special technical requirement.
in the back part of bearing code, using
"E" symbols single slot outer
ring(an axial direction slot in the outer
ring), "X" symbols part outer
ring(an axial half of the outer ring),
"S" symbols ring or rod end
bearing with lubrication groove, "2RS"
symbols seal ring in both end, "C","T","F"
all symbols self-lubricating but with
different lubricating material, "c"
means coalesced copper filled with PTFE;
"T" means filled with TFE; "F"
means glass reinforced plastics with PTFE
additive.
There are 2 kinds of bearing radial clearance,
"O" symbols the basic type and
"C2" or "C3" symbols
additional type. It is no need to add
"O" to bearing code when it
is basic radial clearance; but you should
connect the "C2" or "C3"
by a "-" to the right of bearing
code when it is a additional type.
(4). Additional code (BY JB2P07-81)
additional code which connected by "/"
to the right of bearing code is composed
of letters. The additional code cover
the following content:
<1. Material
"X" symbols that the ring is
made of stainless steel. "S"
symbols ring made of carburized steel.
"J" symbols ring sliding surface
made of unusual material. "Q"
symbols ring sliding surface made of bronze.
"P" symbols ring made of beryllium
bronze.
<2. special additional technology
"T" symbols special requirement
of tempering temperature. "D"
symbols sliding surface and ball surface
electroplating is required. "R"
symbols special greese filled in bearing.
"U" symbols non-standard clearance.
"B" symbols special requirement
of rod end thread.
<3. structure
"K" symbols shape or size of
the component.
